About Us
The History
Ayrshire Bowling Clubs was the first name of the Association and was established in 1895 / 6 to make the draw for Glasgow – Ayrshire and the Gold Bowl.
In 1900 it was agreed to change the name to Ayrshire Bowling Association with 18 clubs being members. This has grown over time and the Association exists now to promote the sport of bowling in Ayrshire and also to organise the Glasgow – Ayrshire, the Gold & Silver Bowls , the Ayrshire Cup and the Ayrshire Championships as well as helping clubs across the County.
Constitution
The Constitution has been changed over time and now ensures the Association meets every November for the AGM where they elect the Officers and the District Secretary’s for the North, South, East and West.
